Nothing Good to Report – Just Tendinitis

2

Elbow_anatomy06 How's that for a blog post title? This is gonna be one seriously riveting post I tell you.

I was planning on hitting the Eastern Sierra this weekend for some spring backcountry skiing, which would have made for a great Monday post, but alas.

It turns out I suddenly have a case of "Tendinitis at the Triceps Insertion," which makes it quite painful to put any weight on my arm. The exact motion you'd use with your poles as you skin up the mountain is now excrutiating. Aaaarrgghhh – just in time for the height of ski mountaineering season.

Weird thing is the doc said I must have had it for some time because significant calcification is apparent in the x-ray. The doc said it just takes time and lots of anti-inflammatories. It does seem to be feeling better everyday, so hopefully I'll be back at it soon.

  1. Dude,
Sorry to hear about the setback! Hope you have a speedy recovery…and till then, leave one ski pole at home. :)

  2. Ha! Thanks. I actually thought about that. But then you’ve got to ski down too… I suppose I could make that work. Would look pretty funny though. Like a guy that dropped his pole on the chairlift…
