Eastern Sierra Last Weekend
My climbing partner (peerzat) and I hit the Eastern Sierra last weekend with some big plans. We were going to harvest some fall alpine ice, do a big alpine rock climb and fit some beers in between. The weather did not cooperate, but we did get in some good bouldering at the Buttermilks near Bishop and we squeezed in an assent of Crystal Crag above Mammoth. See below for photos.
They closed Sonora and Tioga passes on Friday night which stranded us
on the East side. We had to make the long drive north to Tahoe just to
make it back to San Francisco. Me thinks that's it for climbing this year. Now, bring on the snow!
