My whole plan was to climb Mt. Lyell in Yosemite over the weekend. Excited by the news that the pass had opened for the holiday, I headed straight up there after work. I skated through the Pass on Friday evening in some sketchy weather and slept just east of Tioga on the side of the road. I woke up Saturday morning to Find Tioga Pass closed. So, frustrated, I figured I’d go up to Sonora Pass to see if I could get in some late season turns up there. Nope. I was greeted by this sign on 395. arrgghhh..
