I’ve finally made some plans to get out into the backcountry on my new kit (Karhu Jak BC 179 with Fritschi Freeride Plus and Lowa Struktura Lights). I’m going to head up to North Tahoe with the Sierra Club Backcountry Ski Section to climb/ski Jakes Peak and Tamarack Peak next weekend. I’m stoked to get out there. I’ve been getting a serious case of cabin fever and I need to hit the slopes. All I seem to do these days is look around online for backcountry video clips of people enjoying ridiculous powder. My turn. 

I may also join some of the same folks for a Squaw Valley to Sugar Bowl tour with a stay over in the Sierra Club’s Benson hut. We’ll see.
